Essential safety

Use the app at your own responsibility. You remain responsible for your decisions, following safety instructions and independently verifying important information. This does not waive mandatory legal rights or exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

AI descriptions can be wrong, incomplete, delayed, or unavailable. They may be based on an obstructed camera or a limited view. An answer that mentions no obstacle or hazard does not mean that the area is clear.

• Never use Captain SuperSight as the basis for crossing a road or railway, approaching a platform edge, navigating construction, or making another safety-critical decision.
• The destination compass does not provide a safe or walkable route. The app does not determine safe crossings, prevent collisions, or reliably warn of hazards.
• Verify important details with another reliable source or a trusted person, especially information affecting health, safety, money, transport, or legal rights.
• Do not use the app while driving, cycling, operating machinery, or doing an activity where distraction could create serious risk.

AI and camera limitations

The model may miss, misidentify, or misdescribe objects, text, people, distances, movement, or scene context. Lighting, motion, glare, obstructions, camera position, device condition, heat, and software changes can affect output. A spoken response is generated information, not a verified fact.

AI accuracy and response times are not guaranteed, and device compatibility can vary. The app does not guarantee hazard detection. Stop relying on an answer if it sounds uncertain, conflicts with what you observe, or the camera or audio is not working as expected.

Display settings and stereo image alignment

Always consult your doctor before proceeding with use, and an eye care professional before using stereo image alignment. Do not use the app to diagnose, treat or manage an eye condition, or replace prescribed visual aids, treatment or professional care.

Magnification, filters, contrast, color adjustments and edge outlines change the camera image. They can hide details, alter apparent colors, narrow your view or distort perceived size and distance. Edge outlines are image processing, not reliable obstacle detection. A frozen or delayed image is not a live view.

Stereo image alignment shows two copies of the camera view and lets you adjust the horizontal position of the left or right image. This changes the alignment demanded of your eyes. It is not a prescribed prism, clinical calibration or medical treatment.

Stop use immediately if you experience double vision, eye strain, headache, dizziness, nausea or disorientation. Consult a clinician before resuming. Adjust and use stereo alignment while stationary in a safe environment, take breaks, and follow the hardware manufacturer's warnings. Do not increase adjustments to push through discomfort.

Destination compass and distance

The arrow shows an approximate bearing to selected coordinates. Distance is a direct geographic estimate, not a walkable route. The arrow can point across roads, walls, water or inaccessible land.

Location errors, magnetic interference, indoor use, device orientation and incorrect destination coordinates can produce wrong or stale readings. An arrival announcement means only estimated proximity, not that you have reached the correct entrance or a safe location. Verify the destination and route independently; never follow the arrow blindly.

Camera and privacy

Camera access is required for vision features. Use the operating system’s permission controls and handle camera use lawfully and respectfully. Do not intentionally capture private places, confidential information, or people where recording is prohibited.

Hiding a camera preview does not necessarily stop camera capture or analysis. Use the app’s explicit camera stop control, where available, and verify the state shown by the app before assuming capture has ended.

Models are downloaded to the device and can require internet access and storage. This does not establish that the entire app is offline or that no other network processing occurs. Read the Privacy information for the separate policy link.

Setup, availability, and recovery

Feature availability and controls can vary with the camera source, permissions, model, operating system, and connected hardware. Check the app’s status and setup on your device.

• Check that the intended camera is connected and its view is unobstructed.
• Confirm that spoken output is audible through the output you selected. Keep environmental sounds audible; headphones and spoken output can mask warnings.
• If the app reports a problem or behaves unexpectedly, stop the current task and verify your surroundings independently.
• Do not treat a missing answer, silence, or an empty result as evidence that something is absent or safe.
